  Ultraviolet Radiation (UVR) in the electromagnetic spectrum may be broadly defined as wavelengths of 10–400 nanometers, with rays shorter than the visible light spectrum, and longer than X-ray radiation (X-rays).
  The ultraviolet radiation (UVR) may be subdivided into a number of ranges including:

UVR Wavelength ranges: extreme ultraviolet (EUV) [10-121 nm] far ultraviolet radiation (F‑UV) [121-200 nm] middle ultraviolet radiation (M‑UV) [200-300 nm] near ultraviolet radiation (N‑UV) [300-400 nm]

UVR ABC subtypes: Ultraviolet A (UV‑A) [315-400 nm] Ultraviolet B (UV‑B) [280-315 nm] Ultraviolet C (UV‑C) [100-280 nm] Far Ultraviolet (F‑UV) [121-200 nm]

“Ultraviolet Rays (Ultraviolet Light)”  

Ultraviolet Light (Ultraviolet Rays)

  Ultraviolet Rays (Ultraviolet Light), aka Actinic Rays, occupies the electromagnetic spectrum immediately below the visible range (color of violet) and extending into the x-ray frequencies, generally divided into sub-bands:

• UVA, or near UV (315-400 nm)
• UVB, or middle UV (280-315 nm)
• UVC, or far UV (180-280 nm)

Also:

• VUV (vacuum UV) with UV light between 10-200 nm
  • EUV (extreme UV) with UV light between 10-121 nm

Solar UV radiation (UVR)

  On Earth, the solar UV radiation (UVR), AKA sunlight (most common form of UV radiation is sunlight), reaching the ground is composed of UVB (290-320 nm) and UVA (320-400nm) wavelengths, UVC gets filtered out by the ozone layer
  In and on our body, ultraviolet light will lead to the formation of singlet oxygen and other reactive oxygen species in the skin. **
